Attorney Bio

Ian received his law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, and a Master of Urban Planning, Design and Development degree with a concentration in real estate development and finance, from the Levin College of Urban Affairs, also in Cleveland. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with a major in American Studies.

Ian’s practice at Ward & Babb focuses on residential and commercial real estate development, as well as litigating claims in the contexts of permitting and other disputes involving real estate law. In addition, Ian practices in the areas of business organization and estates and trusts.

Prior to joining Ward & Babb, Ian practiced real estate law in Cleveland, Ohio with the Chilcote Law Firm, where he represented clients in the areas of commercial and residential development, financing, and leasing, with a particular emphasis on the redevelopment of environmentally contaminated properties.

Ian is licensed in Vermont and Ohio.
